Child-Adolescent Psychologist

Dr. Arnie Yanover is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and families. Her clinical interests include helping clients with anxiety disorders, depression, behavioral concerns and high functioning autism. Dr. Yanover has extensive experience facilitating social skills training and social skills groups with children. These social skills groups include children with autism spectrum disorders and children who have social skill difficulties due to other concerns (i.e. non­verbal learning disabilities, anxiety, ADHD). Dr. Yanover conducts psychological assessments, including ADHD assessments. She typically uses a cognitive behavioral and systems approach to treatment; however, the treatment plan is tailored to each child or family’s needs.
 
Dr. Yanover is a member of the American Psychological Association and Bexar County Psychological Association. Dr. Yanover received her BA degree from Bradley University in Peoria, IL. She received her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, IL. She has worked in hospital, school, group practice, and non-profit settings. Dr. Yanover is married, and has three children.
